Our mission is to give every student world class martial arts training
that they can transfer into their everyday life.

Chris Heintzman
Chris has more than 35 years of martial arts experience – from learning and teaching Karate at Michigan State University to competing worldwide and winning Titles in professional Sanda and MMA. Chris was fortunate enough to meet Grandmaster David Chin (head of the Tibetan Hop Gar System) in 1994 and has trained with him ever since. Chris is super passionate about Chinese Kung Fu and the practicality of our martial arts and brings that passion to each and every aspect of the academy.
Leslie Heintzman
Owner and General Manager of Seven Star, Leslie is amazing. Her incredible welcoming smile and high energy makes everyone feel right at home. Leslie makes sure that everyone is well taken care of. In addition to being our GM Leslie owns Sari Sari Sweets (the best bakery in Chapel Hill).
Jolon Spachtholz
Jolon has been with Sifu Heintzman since 1998. He has tested his abilities in competitions around the US including several Full Contact Lei Tai fights. Jolon has an amazing way of bringing new light to each student as they progress along their martial journey. He is an amazing musician and artist in other aspects as well.
